Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Analyst to join our team in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cisco technologies, firewall management, and network protocols, with experience in managing and supporting large enterprise network environments. This role involves configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Job at a Glance:
- 12 month W2 Contract, potential to extend or convert
- Pay is $40-45/hr
- Hybrid Schedule in Columbia, SC
- The first 6-8 weeks will require full-time onsite training. Afterward, a hybrid schedule is authorized, with onsite requirements ranging from 1 to 5 days per week based on business needs.
- Must be available for overtime and weekend work as part of the on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches.
- Manage firewall technologies, particularly Palo Alto, to ensure network security.
- Work with network protocols, including EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF, to optimize network performance.
- Participate in enterprise network planning and maintenance, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Support network hardware and infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation in a large-scale environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve network-related issues.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or 4 years of job-related work experience; or 2 years of job-related experience combined with an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- 6 years of network or related job experience.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routers and switches.
- Familiarity with firewall technologies, especially Palo Alto.
- Proficient in network protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF).
- Experience supporting and maintaining large-scale enterprise networks.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
- CCNP, CCNA, C2 certification required.
