What are the responsibilities and job description for the Performance Test Engineer position at CEI?
CEIs Fortune 200 client in Banking and Financial Services is adding a Performance Test Engineer who will be responsible for testing and validation of application and infrastructure changes going to production.
- Hybrid Position working onsite 3 days per week
- 6-contract position
- Must be currently local to Pittsburgh, PA
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with QA Analysts and Developers to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance, and quality
- Analyze testing needs and develop testing strategies and plans
- Review and approve test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures, including database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
- Ensure application documentation is complete and maintained/updated in a timely fashion
- Deliver effective and efficient testing solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, adhering to development and quality standards
- May coach, lead, and mentor other team members
- Provide testing management for ongoing projects and future initiatives
Required Skills:
- Multiple years of experience as a performance tester or performance engineer
- Experience with HP LoadRunner
- Apache JMeter
Technical Skills:
- Dynatrace (or other app monitoring tools)
- HP Performance Center
- Performance testing scripting, analysis, and recommendations (Performance Center or other tools)
- Performance Tuning/Recommendation
- Performance Engineering Background
