Job Title: Project Manager - Banking
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (hybrid schedule)
Pay Rate: $60–$65/hour W2 Only
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage scheduling, support, and the ongoing maintenance of pre-production environments. This individual will collaborate with application teams, infrastructure, and SRE teams to ensure stability, automation, and continuous improvement in testing and staging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide scheduling and support for pre-production environments and associated processes.
- Utilize tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and MS Project to track progress, manage tasks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct review calls with infrastructure and application teams to assess current state and gather requirements.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce toil and streamline operations.
- Design frameworks for task categorization: fully automated, semi-automated, or manual.
- Track and manage outstanding defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Create dashboards and alerts for real-time monitoring and compliance with SRE metrics.
- Work closely with SRE leads to build and manage a backlog of automation-focused user stories and operate in sprint mode.
Required Qualifications:
- Solid project management and coordination skills.
- 7 years of experience managing multiple concurrent work efforts.
- 7 years of experience identifying dependencies and resolving scheduling conflicts.
- 7 years of hands-on experience with Jira and MS Project.
- Advanced understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Experience supporting in-house developed solutions and third-party vendor products in a testing environment.
- Prior on-call experience with incident resolution and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create dashboards and monitoring alerts for rapid communication and visibility.
Desired Qualifications:
- Program management experience.
- 5 years supporting multiple concurrent work efforts.
- 5 years of experience in dependency identification and schedule management.
- 5 years of experience with Jira and MS Project.
- 3 years of hands-on software development experience using Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Highly self-motivated, initiative-driven, adaptable, and team-oriented.
