Property Damage Claims Specialist
Job Overview
We are seeking a Property Damage Claims Specialist to manage customer property damage claims that may arise due to electric service operations. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of claims while adhering to state regulations and company policies. The specialist will oversee the entire claims process, from initial receipt to final determination and resolution, including claim settlements when applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate liability for damage claims and ensure compliance with state regulations and company tariff.
- Analyze and process claims, determining whether to accept or reject documentation.
- Maintain tracking records of all accepted and denied claims.
- Ensure confidentiality of claims decisions and rationale.
- Deliver quality customer service, handling inquiries and escalations as needed.
- Manage and respond to escalated calls, routing them to appropriate teams when necessary.
- Support documentation and reporting requirements.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum: High School Diploma
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Claims Handling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
