What are the responsibilities and job description for the SQL Developer position at CEI?
CEIs Client is a world leader in Media and Entertainment, and they are adding a SQL Developer to their team in Orlando that is building cutting-edge food and beverage supply chain technology.
- 4 days per week onsite in Orlando (Friday is work from home)
- 6-month contract with potential for extension
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data mappings, ETL processes, and data transformation pipelines.
- Configure supply chain technology to meet business needs.
- Design, develop, and debug SQL scripts for data extraction, validation, and transformation.
- Gather business reporting requirements and develop dashboards in MicroStrategy Cloud.
- Participate in Agile development, including JIRA backlog management and scrum ceremonies.
- Ensure code meets quality gates and best practices.
- Maintain and update technical documentation for reproducible data loads and configurations.
- Collaborate with technical and testing teams to resolve data anomalies and system issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues.
- Continuously improve processes, technologies, and system integrations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Strong expertise in:
- SQL Development (Oracle DB, MS SQL, Snowflake) on Windows & RHEL environments.
- MicroStrategy Cloud for reporting and dashboard development.
- Version control systems and Agile tools (JIRA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Python for ETL pipeline development and automation.
- Experience writing reports against Snowflake, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder’s Forecasting & Replenishment technology and Crunchtime.
