Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect with a strong focus on designing secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture best practices, and security policies to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture Design:
o Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable AWS cloud architectures.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements.
- Security and Compliance:
o Develop and enforce security standards, policies, and procedures to protect cloud environments.
o Implement AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), security groups, and encryption mechanisms.
o Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Governance and Policy Management:
o Define and implement cloud governance frameworks, including tagging strategies, cost management policies, and access control.
o Automate compliance monitoring and remediation using AWS Config, CloudWatch, and other tools.
- Cloud Migration and Optimization:
o Lead migration projects, transitioning legacy applications to AWS.
o Optimize workloads for performance, cost, and security.
- Technical Leadership:
o Serve as a subject matter expert for AWS cloud solutions.
o Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
- Monitoring and Incident Management:
o Design monitoring frameworks using AWS CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and other tools.
o Establish incident response processes for cloud-related security events.
- Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed documentation for all cloud architectures, policies, and processes.
o Prepare reports for audits, security assessments, and executive stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master s preferred).
- Experience: 10-12 years in IT, with at least 5 years focused on AWS cloud architecture.
- Expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation, and others.
- Strong knowledge of AWS security features, including IAM, KMS, Security Hub, and WAF.
- Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience implementing governance and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- In-depth understanding of network security, firewalls, and VPNs in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation.
