Corrective Maintenance Mechanic
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following for :
- Employee must always endeavor to work safety and intervene to ensure the safety of others
- Site-wide responsibility to support equipment reliability and continued mechanical improvement.
- Candidates must be able to climb (towers, boilers, etc.) and work in confined spaces (respirator qualified).
- Candidate must complete job progression process to allow for execution of Non-destructive testing requirements for Visual Testing (VT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Vibration Monitoring. Further training to support site requirements as needed, for example : American Petroleum Institute (API) tank and pipe inspection certification. Modest travel required for training and job duties.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Candidate would be responsible for preparing, implementing, and maintaining rotating and fixed equipment inspection programs in accordance with the quality management system (QMS), including report writing and documentation.
- Must pass internal testing and demonstrate computer skills in the following : Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
- Additional Responsibilities include : Machinery Troubleshooting, thermography inspections, equipment repair plan development, lubrication plan development, performing rotating equipment shaft alignments, and 3rd party repair shop quality assurance visits.
