Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, dedicated and creative Tooling Fixture Designer Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, capacity for creative design and problem solving along with skills in common manufacturing techniques used to bend, form, machine and assemble bi-metal fixtures. As a Tooling Fixture Designer Builder, you will be responsible for designing, reverse engineering, manufacturing, assembling, and maintaining tooling fixtures made of copper, brass, titanium, stainless steel and various other mediums such as plastic and rubber used to perform precise electropolishing processes. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, understanding of precision measurement and the ability to work collaboratively in a quality driven environment.

Duties

• Design and assemble one off and repeated use tooling fixture structures using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate construction around customer parts and use precision measuring equipment to verify accuracy.
• Operate forklifts safely to transport materials around the worksite.
• Perform welding/brazing tasks as needed for structural integrity.
• Collaborate with the maintenance department to perform routine maintenance on workshop machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/performance issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
• Monitor existing tooling fixtures for repair and maintenance needs and schedule and perform the needed maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

• Proficiency in machining techniques and mechanical knowledge.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment effectively.
• Ability to assemble complex structures with precision.
• Familiarity with welding processes and techniques.
• Strong understanding of DC electricity fundamentals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
