Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packaging Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are packaged efficiently and in compliance with industry standards. This position requires a blend of mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment within a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and package products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Operate hand tools and machinery, including forklifts, to facilitate the packaging process.
- Heat shrink wrap large stainless steel vessels, tanks and weldments.
- Fabricate packaging materials as needed to ensure product safety during transit.
- Conduct routine inspections of packaging equipment and perform basic troubleshooting as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve packaging efficiency.
- Document production activities accurately and maintain records in accordance with company policies.
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools and operating forklifts safely.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience working in a warehouse or workshop environment is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated for working alone.
- Teachable and able to follow detailed instructions and on the job training.
