Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EFTA CERTIFIED Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient comfort and safety.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including but not limited to Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and Pediatrics.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment room by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take X-Ray images while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize 3D scanning technology for accurate dental impressions.
- Monitor and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient records and assist in scheduling appointments.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a high standard of care is provided.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental systems and tools, including X-Ray equipment and 3D scanners.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Ability to assist in various specialties such as Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and Pediatrics.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and education.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
