SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER-YOUNG ADULT PROGRAM - FULL TIME - 2024-2025 School Year
Celebrate the Children is seeking a dedicated and skilled-full-time Special Education Teacher to join our Young Adult Program for the 2024-2025 school year. Our Young Adult Program is dedicated to supporting students ages 18-21 as they prepare for life beyond school. We are committed to fostering independence, self-advocacy, and meaningful community involvement in our students' lives. This position will have a primary focus on guiding students through transition skills, applied literacy, hands-on learning, internships, community based instruction, and essential life skills that promote independence as they transition into adulthood.
Celebrate the Children is a well-respected, non-profit, state-approved private school for children with alternative learning styles that has been providing quality education services to the community for over twenty years. At Celebrate the Children our Special Education Teachers are surrounded by staff who are caring, compassionate and dedicated to our program philosophy. Though CTC is a state-approved private school, CTC still requires NJ DOE Certifications.
Requirements for Special Education Teacher Include :
CE / CEAS or Standard Certification in General Education
CE / CEAS / Standard TOSD or TOH Standard Certification
Minimum of two years of experience working with the special needs population preferred but not required
DIR experience is preferred but not required
