Groups/Connections Pastor
Location: Georgetown (GT)
Reports to: Associate Campus Pastor (GT)
Summary of Role
Lead the Groups and Connections ministry operations for the Georgetown (GT) location by facilitating Dream Team development and managing systems, events, resources, and communication protocols. The ACP will also fulfill general pastoral responsibilities of a Celebration Church pastor.
Position Status & Schedule

- Full-time (40 hours)
- Sunday through Thursday; will include weekends and some evenings
- Christmas, Easter, and Dream Team Appreciation service dates and times are blackout days for time off. Other events may be required outside of your regular schedule; you will be informed in advance of these requirements.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Leadership
- Coordinate and execute consistent, excellent Groups and Connections experiences to build and maintain leadership structures and ministry opportunities
- Ensure assigned areas uphold ministry vision, processes, systems, and standards at the campus level
- Assist in the strategic planning of (and own) the implementation of ministry initiatives at the campus level
- Maintain healthy relationships with strategic groups of people (Groups leaders, Dream Team leads, etc.)
- Participate in key GT location events (e.g., Sunday services, Summer at Celebration, Kids Camp, etc.)
- Attend Georgetown location staff meetings and central ministry-specific meetings
- Fulfill pastoral responsibilities as outlined in the Pastoral Role Essentials agreement
Weekend Services
- Own the quality of the weekend Groups and Connections experience, collaborating with Dream Team and location staff to serve attendees and guests
- Weekend responsibilities focus on ensuring include, but are not limited to, assisting with Leader Orientations, connecting with Dream Team leaders, and providing a presence in the concourse for Connections and Groups
- Visible presence and involvement at campus services, gatherings, and activities
- Be present at all Dream Team Huddles; share inspirational thought or prayer as requested
Coordination
- Write, schedule, and send communication to Groups & Connection leaders
- Maintain GT Groups and Connections calendars, scheduling trainings, events, and meetings
- Submit event planning forms, space reservations, resource requests, and communication orders for GT Groups and Connections events/activities/gatherings (including routine weekend service needs)
- Manage campus-specific Small Group & Connection workflows and boards within the Rock church database for all associated groups and connection activities (e.g., Group Leader applications, new small group submissions, directory maintenance, identifying challenges and needs within these areas, etc.)
- Identify and recruit small group leaders
- Provide training and coaching opportunities for small group leaders
- Work with Pastoral Care to ensure Dream Team and attendee pastoral care needs are identified and met
- Ensure spaces and environments create the appropriate atmospheres for services and culture, and ensure standards for cleanliness and safety are met
- Purchase supplies, distribute training materials, and maintaining inventories of all resources
- Report event attendance and other metrics, reflecting the wins and growth opportunities at the campus
- Support onsite Small Groups with communication, set up, and facility request needs
Financial
- Utilize purchasing processes for approval, ordering, and payment of services and items needed
- Enter expenses into applicable system and maintain up-to-date expense reports
- Assist in managing the campus small group & connection events budget

Education & Experience
- Associate/Bachelor’s degree and/or 2-4 years of ministry experience in a professional environment
- Current/recent ministry involvement
- Experience leading teams (professional or volunteer)
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office and Church facility.
- Must be able to position self to maintain supplies and equipment on lower shelves and in closets.
- Frequently move supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
- Constantly working in an open office environment
- Ability to work outside in various climates and temperatures
