Production Coordinator
Location: Central Austin
Reports to: CA Creative Pastor
Summary of Role
The Production Coordinator oversees live production programming, ensuring services and events are executed with excellence, at the Celebration Church Central Austin location. This position will provides event-based support for designated churchwide Tier 1 Conferences and Events.
Position Status & Schedule
- Non-Exempt, Hourly
- Full-time (40 hours)
- Sunday through Thursday: hours vary weekly dependent on events; will include weekends and evenings
- Christmas, Easter, Pursuit Weeks (January/August), and Dream Team Appreciation service dates and times are blackout days for time off. Additionally, Tier 1 Conferences and Events are required workdays for this role. Other events may be required outside of your regular schedule; you will be informed in advance of any requirements.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Leadership
- Oversee live production for location-specific events and services (weekend, Pursuit).
- Lead and run Production Team training model at location
- Identify, train, and develop Production Dream Team members for Central Austin location
- Collaborate with CA Creative Pastor to ensure excellent services and events
Services, Conference and Events
- Oversee all production elements and programming, ensuring services and events are well-planned, executed with excellence, and engaging for the Central Austin location
- Lead and run service rehearsals, pre-service meetings, and debriefs to align teams and ensure smooth execution of services.
- Directly manage technical aspects, stage installs, gear upgrades, and purchases for location.
- Participate in planning sessions for services, special events, and department initiatives
- Ensure information and resources are ready, prepared, and available for services
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for production projects/installs at location
- Support Tier 1 churchwide conferences and events as assigned
- Contributes to the overall success of the Central Austin location by performing all other duties as assigned
Dream Team
- Carry the vision of the church and standards of the Production ministry at assigned location
- Onboard and train new Production Dream Team
- Provide ongoing coaching and assessment for continuous upskilling of current Dream Team
- Maintain a healthy Dream Team culture, ensuring Production DT members are supported and cared for
- Honor, respect, and interact with all Dream Team members in a positive and life-giving way
Administrative
- Coordinate installs with team members
- Utilize Planning Center Online for coordinating and rostering Dream Team
- Maintain clean workspaces, stage, and storage areas
- Catalog equipment, ensuring maintenance and troubleshooting of location equipment
- Utilize purchasing processes for approval, ordering and payment of services and items needed
- Maintain up to date expense reports

Education & Experience
- Experience leading staff or volunteers
- Prior production environment experience a plus
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office and Church facility.
- Must be able to position self to maintain supplies and equipment on lower shelves and in closets.
- Frequently move supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Constantly work in open office environment
- Ability to work outside in various climates and temperatures
