Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and organized individual for an entry-level position as a Front Desk / Chairside Assistant. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, assisting with both administrative tasks and chairside support to ensure smooth office operations and provide the best care for our pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Schedule appointments and assist with appointment confirmations and reminders.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services, insurance, and procedures.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Verify insurance coverage and process billing and payments.
- Assist with other front-office tasks as needed.
Chairside Assistant Duties:
- Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during procedures by passing instruments, preparing materials, and maintaining an organized work environment.
- Prepare patients for procedures by making them comfortable and explaining what to expect.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental equipment and instruments.
- Help with patient flow to ensure timely procedures and smooth transitions between visits.
- Ensure a positive experience for both patients and parents by maintaining a gentle, caring, and friendly demeanor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience in a dental office or medical setting is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a passion for working with children.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
