Banquets Server

Job Description

Responsibilities of a Banquet Server:

• Welcoming guests upon their arrival and guiding them to their designated table or seat.
• Serves patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner.
• Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
• Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons’ choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
• Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process.
• Carrying trays
• Setting up for events
• Serving guests
• Providing information to help food and beverage selections
• Presenting ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner
• Maintaining dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude
• Preparing room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
• Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ choices and identifying patrons’ special dietary needs and special requests.
• Adhering to safety and quality guidelines to ensure the security of guests and team members.
  
  

Requirements for Banquet Server:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Relevant experience as a server is preferred.
• Must meet the state's minimum age requirement if serving alcohol.
• Posses courteous and professional behavior with attentive approach towards guests.
• Physically fit to meet the strenuous demands of the job such as standing for long periods, carrying heavy objects, and climbing stairs
• Exceptional customer service skills, superb communication, and interpersonal skills
• Capable of working within a team for ensuring guest satisfaction
• Follows given instructions carefully for each occasion
• Availability to work during early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays
