Executive Chef - Relocation

Job Description

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years in catering from simple buffets to multi course plated means for up to 250 guests
• The Executive Chef is responsible for ensuring financial & operational success of catering operations
• Understands and follows the mission statement of Celebrations on Park and leads by example
• Active in ALL meetings
• Works in unison with the Catering Director by constant communication
• Designing and executing catering menus for events including recipe costing
• Provides financial reports and updates to the GM as well as daily updates
• Planning and preparing food for large-scale events as well as small events
• Ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation
• Follows all food safety rules and understands what HACCP is and means as well as FIFO
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Professional appearance
• Ability to work long hours
• Orders and is responsible for all food and some beverages
• Schedules for the kitchen staff for a minimum of 2 weeks out
• Works all events
• Managing staff and delegating tasks to ensure food is prepared and served on time
• Attracting and retaining staff, maintaining professional relationships with team members, optimizing productivity, continues to challenge and coach the crew
• HAVE FUN!! This is something that has been lost over the years. Our chef must have fun.
