Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our high-volume Dragonfly Cakes production team. In this role, you will contribute to preparing products for wholesale and retail customers while ensuring the highest standards of quality. As part of a cross-trained, collaborative team, you’ll gain skills across various stations and play a key role in our operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSet-Up Preparation:
- Gather components required for assembly.
- Assemble set-ups according to flavor profiles and label them appropriately.
- Prepare cakes for freezing or cooling.
Production Process:
- Follow production schedules and provide updates.
- Operate production machines.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of products to maintain quality and safety.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
- Prevent cross-contamination by applying allergen knowledge.
Decoration:
- Pipe intricate details using chocolate and other materials.
- Follow specific guidelines for wholesale, retail, and custom orders.
- Decorate products with creativity and precision to meet brand standards.
Packaging/Shipping:
- Package products accurately for customer and vendor requirements.
- Handle high-volume orders with attention to detail.
Collaboration and Cross-Training:
- Train and assist across various stations within Dragonfly Cakes and Celebrity Cake Studio.
- Foster teamwork to maintain efficiency and quality across departments.
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for creating high-quality products.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision while building confidence and skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially for wholesale and distributor orders.
- Knowledge of allergens and food safety is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- 1 year of prior manufacturing experience; food manufacturing is a plus.
- Prior experience in food production or decorating is preferred but not required.**
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in cooler/freezer environments.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
