Celerion is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to work at our Glen Allen, VA or Raleigh, NC locations. These locations focus on consumer opinion studies related to nicotine and tobacco products.
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. Oversees all marketing, advertising and promotional activities.
\n- Marketing Operations
- Plan monthly, quarterly, and annual participant recruitment advertising strategies and participant retention strategies for fulfillment of client goals
- Manage the entire advertising and promotional product line
- Responsible for the growth, maintenance and reporting of the participant database
- Serve as the website administrator
- Manage the Facebook and Instagram accounts
- Maintain and report advertising metrics to track advertising effectiveness
- Track current and upcoming studies and incorporate with strategic advertising
- Track all monthly expenditures: advertising, outreach, mailings, promotional items, etc.
- Responsible for all participant communications as well as creation of radio and other marketing scripts
- Facilitate the creation of handbooks, brochures, postcards, retention cards, etc.
- Track effectiveness of study-specific and general advertising
- Order merchandise and promotional items
- Attend outreach activities
- Continual research for new advertising and outreach avenues
- Create and implement all Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved advertising materials
- Develop and maintain contacts with outside vendors and community contacts
- Client Relations
- Represent recruiting team during client meetings to ensure client satisfaction
- Proactively work to resolve client concerns/issues
- Participate in Consumer Opinion Center operations meetings
- Marketing presentations to client
- Reporting
- Participate in all phases of client audits
- Responsible for all marketing-related reports (Monthly Ad Plan, Marketing Budget Report, COC Dashboard Reports) other reports as assigned
- Report all findings related to the audit of research processes and documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 1 year sales, marketing, advertising, public relations or related experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer experience with Mac, Photoshop, InDesign, Excel and Adobe preferred
- Excellent customer service skills

- Ability to work in required work environment, including but not limited to exposure to second hand smoke from combustible cigarettes and vapors from electronic cigarettes
- Will work in a general office environment with the use of computer, printer, telephone, copier, fax, and calculator.
- According to the Code of Virginia 18.2-371.2B, employees must be 21 years of age to work around tobacco products.
