We are a dynamic and growing organization looking for a Warehouse & Assembly Operations Supervisor to join our team. This hands-on, hybrid role will blend leadership and operational responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations in the warehouse while also overseeing product assembly, shipping, receiving, and more. Reporting to both the Operations Manager and Production Leader, this position requires someone who thrives in a small, closely-knit team environment with diverse tasks and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-On Supervision: Actively participate in all aspects of daily operations, including assembly, shipping, receiving, and warehousing, alongside your team.
- Leadership & Resource Management: Lead a small team, ensuring optimal resource allocation, monitoring progress, and making sure goals are met efficiently and safely. Track and report on production schedules and team performance regularly.
- Quality & Efficiency: Balance key metrics such as quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale. Identify areas for improvement to optimize processes, enhance resource utilization, and reduce inefficiencies.
- Employee Engagement & Development: Provide day-to-day guidance and feedback to your team, helping them develop skills and improve performance. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, addressing issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, creating and maintaining safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all staff members.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean Manufacturing principles to address challenges and identify opportunities for optimization. Lead problem-solving efforts for issues such as quality concerns, inventory discrepancies, and delays.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as Supply Chain, Engineering, and Sales, to ensure alignment and smooth operations across the organization.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs, manage training schedules, and ensure team members are properly onboarded and equipped for their roles. Maintain accurate training records and certifications.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with a strong focus on team leadership and operational oversight.
- Proven ability to manage a team and drive performance improvements.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with inventory and business planning systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
