About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to be a part of the production team based in Concord. The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is primarily responsible for the originates and develops methods as part of the plant preventive maintenance system for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes. Prepares charts, drawings, calculations, and conducts an analysis of reliability problems. Investigates to determine the Root Cause of Failure and implements strategic actions to eliminate reliability issues. Supports maintenance and project engineering as it pertains to equipment reliability and improvements.
Reporting Relationships
This position directly reports to the Plant Maintenance Manager and does not supervise others.

Qualifications
Education Background:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field required.
- Certification in Maintenance and Reliability Professional preferred.
Professional experience:
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience solving problems in complex scenarios within a manufacturing environment.
- Analytical, experience applying investigative techniques for problem resolution.
- Strong computer skills (CMMS experience and database experience with SQL a plus)
- Six Sigma / Lean manufacturing experience a plus (not required)
Knowledge & Experience:
- Development of equipment procedures and documentation for both existing and new equipment installations
- Provide coaching to Maintenance team members when necessary.
- Works with Plant/Division Engineering to maximize reliability and maintainability of new equipment and improve equipment reliability.
- Investigate equipment failures and recurring issues.
- Diagnose root cause of failures, implement corrective actions.
- Ownership and continuous improvement of plant predictive maintenance programs
- Equipment documentation and record keeping systems to track and improve equipment reliability and validate effectiveness.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve department efficiency to yield higher machine uptime and lower maintenance cost.
- Effective communication across all levels of the organization
- Develop and manage maintenance reliability program and drive reliability culture.
- Scope and supervise contractor maintenance work and capital projects as they pertain to equipment reliability.
- Experience with LCAM

- Establish and maintain systems and work that optimize manufacturing in areas of variability reduction, constraints management, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated skills in diagnosing and resolving manufacturing equipment issues.
- Demonstrated skills in new equipment start-ups and maintenance of equipment.
- Experience implementing and maintaining equipment reliability programs.
- Enjoys hands-on equipment troubleshooting.
- CAD experience relative to equipment design (AutoCAD & Inventor preferred)
Travel:
- Must be able and willing to travel up to 10% for domestic and abroad for training and visiting other company locations
Working Environment
This position is in a manufacturing plant setting that would require working in a production environment around chemicals. Work will require standing and walking for up to 80% of the time. Lighting and temperature are adequate. You may be required to lift up to 35 pounds and/or force necessary to push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
