The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and ensuring compliance. This position plays a key role in ensuring that HR operations run smoothly and effectively to support the district’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Superintendent.
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring process, including job postings, and interview coordination.
- Facilitate new employee onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, certifications, and background checks.
- Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate employee data entry and reporting.
- Provide guidance on district policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Assist in employee relations matters by addressing concerns, facilitating communication, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and school policies.
- Other HR-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma but Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in human resources, preferably in a school district or educational setting, is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
