Job Objective: Plans, implements and evaluates instruction/curriculum in the Education and Training Pathway (Ohio Dept. Of Education & Workforce) designed to address a wide range of maturity and skill levels. Courses currently consist of Classroom Management, Curriculum and Instruction, Education Principles, Child & Adolescent Development. Assists secondary high school students with work-based learning opportunities as well as with post-secondary placement. Encourages parental, business and community involvement.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:
Minimum of five years teaching experience
Bachelor's Degree in any academic subject or Special Education, Master's Degree and valid teaching license for high school grades, such as 4-12 or 7-12
College teaching experience a plus
Willing to obtain appropriate coursework/credentials to meet requirements to be a career and technical instructor
Keeps current with technology and other workplace innovations that support job functions
Collaborate with associate school districts for student field experiences
Develop and maintain relationships with local colleges, universities, school administrators, teachers, and parents
Understands overall teaching methods of the standards in all grade levels along with how to instruct students to meet the needs of gifted and special education students
Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills, meets deadlines, excellent attendance, teaches employability skills, and enjoys working with people
Collaborate with other Tri Star programs for cross program/curriculum teaching
Career Tech Student Organization (CTSO) advisor
