As a data scientist, you will analyze intricate data sets to extract valuable insights that can assist in making informed business decisions. To achieve this, you will need to begin by understanding the analytical use case and collaborating with available resources to comprehend the available data and determine the most suitable statistical/analytical model for the job. Once you have tested the model and obtained the desired results, you will present them using visualization tools like Power BI and implement the model for automated insights.

    • Gather requirements from stakeholders. Collaborate with multiple teams to identify business problems and develop data-driven AI solutions
    • Perform extensive data analysis to identify the required datasets from the data lake for AI use cases
    • Research, identify, fine tune and implement the AI model for the identified use cases
    • Use data visualization tools to communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
    • Continuously monitor and improve model performance
    • Understand and references technical designs and specifications to share with stakeholders
    • Write documentation in Confluence on the established analytical models, add analysis results on Epic pages
    • Communicate with scrum masters to prioritized work from assigned Jira Epics
    • Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and techniques

    Qualifications


    REQUIRED

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
    • Strong programming skills in Python and Jupyter
    • Proficient in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
    • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch and environments like Amazon SageMaker
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Experience working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Proven experience in technical writing and requirements gathering
    • Strong knowledge of JIRA/Confluence
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
    • Knowledge of mortgage servicing data is a plus
    • Tenacity to problem-solve using data and seeing the big-picture business needs
    • Attentive to details, methodical and rigorous. It bothers you if some data you own is incorrect

    Experience Requirements

    • 5-year modeling experience in Data Science and Machine Learning
    • 3-years minimum in data scientist or advanced data analytics role
    • Mortgage and finance knowledge preferred

    Education Requirements

    • Master’s degree (preferred Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics)

Salary Range for the Data Scientist: $110-125,000 based on experience and geographical location.
