Cancer Registrar Details
- Full-time
- M-F (No Weekends)
- 8 Hour Day Shift
- Contract Position
Cancer Registrar Duties
- Ensure completeness of cancer registry data by identifying all cancer cases diagnosed or treated at the hospital.
- Prepare and submit required reports to local, state, and national cancer registries, including the National Cancer Database (NCDB), state cancer registry, and other relevant organizations.
- Ensure patient confidentiality by following HIPAA regulations and hospital policies when handling cancer data.
- Work closely with oncologists, pathologists, surgeons, radiologists, and other medical staff to gather necessary data.
- Support multidisciplinary cancer care teams by providing accurate data for case conferences and treatment planning.
Cancer Registrar Qualifications
- Two years of Cancer Registry experience in a hospital, Regional Registry or Clinical Research Setting.
- Must possess and maintain a current cert. as a Certified Tumor Registrar from the National Cancer Registrar's Association (NCRA)
