Oral Surgeon Details

• Two Shifts Per Week

• 8 hour Day shifts available

• Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)

 Oral Surgeon Duties

• Develop and implement treatment plans for inmates, addressing conditions such as tooth decay, gum disease, oral infections, and facial trauma.
• Perform surgical procedures such as tooth extractions (including impacted teeth), oral biopsies, and dental implants when indicated.
• Provide post-surgical care, including instructions for pain management, infection prevention, and follow-up appointments.
• Prescribe medications, including antibiotics and pain relievers, to manage post-operative pain, infection, and swelling.
• Educate inmates on maintaining proper oral hygiene, preventing dental issues, and understanding the importance of regular dental care.

 Oral Surgeon Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution

• Licensed as an Oral Surgeon by the State in which the position is located. The license MUST be in good standing

• 2 year of relevant Oral Surgeon experience
