About the Role
The workshop is the heartbeat of Cell Tech’s daily operations, providing vital local services to school districts. As the Assistant Workshop Manager, you will oversee the core operations that drive our mission to streamline and enhance educational experiences through superior IT solutions. You will be instrumental in managing and optimizing the day-to-day functions of the workshop, which include the repair of devices, logistics management, inventory management, small project management, etc. As market demands and school needs evolve, you will also adapt the workshop’s capabilities, exploring new responsibilities and project opportunities to continuously align our services with client expectations. This role requires a dynamic leader who is hands-on in ensuring operational excellence across all workshop activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations management: learn each role of the shop, and effectively supervise. Responsible for overseeing all processes of the workshop including but not limited to: Logistics, Inventory, Repairs, Team building and training, Customer/client relations, Reporting & Auditing, Custom shop based operations (e.g. school projects), Administering software systems, General company wide/customer-wide communications.
- Manage and support the workshop team, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- Oversee the use of technological systems that support workshop activities, ensuring they are used effectively and kept up-to-date.
- Continuously assess and improve operational processes to increase the workshop's effectiveness.
- Serve as the key point of contact for school representatives, ensuring their needs are met and maintaining strong relationships.
- Handle routine administrative tasks including scheduling, reporting, and managing workshop records.
- The Workshop Manager is expected to demonstrate flexibility and availability to handle emergencies and unforeseen challenges that may arise during operations. This may involve working beyond regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure the timely resolution of critical issues and the maintenance of service continuity.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Management or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in Workshop management right from establishment to supervision and administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and experience working with Excel, Statistics, Graphs & Charts
- Good knowledge of Computer & IT Hardware and Software
- Proven leadership experience with a focus of customer service skills, team management, conflict resolution skills, culture setting, etc.
- Demonstrates exceptional crisis management abilities, adept at swiftly diagnosing and resolving urgent issues, maintaining composure under pressure, and implementing effective emergency strategies to ensure operational continuity and client satisfaction.
- Excellent Organizational skills, attention to detail, time and task management.
Salary : $25 - $30
