As our operations grow, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Manager to oversee the daily functions of our deployment center, drive process improvements, and ensure smooth operations on the floor. This role requires collaboration with our IT Services Manager to optimize deployment processes and ensure cohesive teamwork across all functions.
Position Overview:
The Deployment Center Operations Manager will oversee the deployment center’s daily operations, ensuring all client expectations, quality standards, and timelines are met. This role works closely with the IT Services Manager, coordinating efforts to maintain streamlined processes and solve issues that intersect between operational and IT needs. Together, they will implement improvements, support training, and handle facility and equipment management to optimize efficiency across all stations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project and Client Management
- Collaborate with the IT Services Manager to align project goals with both operational and technical requirements, ensuring seamless coordination and a unified approach.
- Communicate with clients and relevant parties to establish clear expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during deployment phases, handling any escalations or feedback.
Team Scheduling and Floor Management
- Develop and manage the deployment floor schedule, ensuring optimal coverage across all stations and tasks.
- Oversee employee performance, providing guidance, troubleshooting issues, and fostering a productive work environment.
- Coordinate with the IT Services Manager to ensure that technical setups and equipment are in place for scheduled deployments.
Quality Control and Process Standardization
- Implement and monitor quality control checks across each station, collaborating with the IT Services Manager for technical quality standards (e.g., device management enrollment, network setup).
- Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) in consultation with the IT Services Manager for processes that require technical alignment.
Resource Allocation and Inventory Management
- Track and manage inventory levels for deployment materials, coordinating with the IT Services Manager for IT-related resources (e.g., device setups, software, tools) to prevent bottlenecks.
- Maintain vendor relationships to ensure timely deliveries of both general and IT-specific resources as needed.
Employee Training and Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs for new hires and existing employees across stations.
- Work with the IT Services Manager to develop and deliver IT-specific training sessions, ensuring employees understand device enrollment, data management, and other technical procedures.
Facility Management and Upkeep
- Oversee facilities management to ensure that the deployment center is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Coordinate with third-party services to maintain facility operations, including cleaning, stocking, and routine maintenance.
KPI Tracking and Reporting
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the deployment center, generating weekly/monthly reports on project progress, productivity, and facility performance.
- Collaborate with the IT Services Manager to integrate technical KPIs, providing higher management with a holistic view of deployment performance.
Continuous Improvement and Process Optimization
- Work closely with the IT Services Manager to identify workflow bottlenecks and develop solutions to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, recommending and implementing new tools, technologies, and methods that benefit both operational and technical workflows.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience of a minimum 3-5 years in a managerial/supervisory role within operations, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse equipment and machinery (e.g., pallet jacks, balers, printers, computers).
- Moderate to Advanced computer skill (i.e. comfortable with running scripts, knowledge about hardware components, what an OS is, typing, etc)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and internal teams.
- Ability to analyze productivity metrics and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project management software is a plus.
