Content Specialist (Remote)

Compensation Range: $20 - 25 per hour

Our client in the education space is seeking a Content Licensing Specialist (CLS) to research and license third-party assets for products. This role requires a keen eye for copyright compliance and the ability to work collaboratively with authors, editors, and project managers to ensure content aligns with our rights strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of licensing, copyright permissions, and third-party content identification.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an expert on rights management, ensuring compliance with copyright laws and internal policies.
• Research, select, and secure rights for third-party content in print and digital products.
• Negotiate licensing terms and rates with copyright holders.
• Advise authors and editors on content planning, mitigating potential issues.
• Collaborate with freelance researchers, stock houses, and internal teams to maintain high-quality content.
• Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely execution.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of reverse research experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills-comfortable asking questions and problem-solving.
• Experience with copyright or law permissions.
• Background in licensing and identifying third-party content.
