PACKAGING DESIGNER

Location: Stamford, Connecticut
Job Type: Contract
Compensation Range: $40 - 45 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Designer with 5-6 years of experience in product packaging design. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in packaging design, as well as versatility in digital design and the creation of tutorials and instruction manuals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative packaging designs for various products, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to conceptualize, design, and refine packaging concepts.
• Execute digital design projects, including marketing assets, promotional materials, and brand visuals.
• Create engaging training decks with a strong understanding of visual storytelling and information hierarchy.
• Ensure designs comply with regulatory requirements and production constraints.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications:

• 5-6 years of experience in product packaging design within an agency or corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, printing techniques, and production processes.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design tools.
• Experience with digital design and familiarity with UI/UX principles.
• Ability to design training decks and presentation materials with a keen eye for layout and typography.
• Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take projects from concept to execution.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in CPG, or regulated industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with 3D packaging visualization tools (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of motion graphics or interactive design is a plus.
