Location : San Diego, CaliforniaJob Type : ContractCompensation Range : $50 - 58 per hourWe are looking for a Sr. Staff Product Marketing Manager to define and execute strategies that drive adoption and utilization of our platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge, technical acumen, and the ability to develop compelling product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies. You will lead cross-functional programs to achieve business goals and effectively position our products in the marketplace.Responsibilities : Go-to-Market Strategy : Develop and execute go-to-market plans in collaboration with Product Management and Regional Product Marketing. Build strategies that support product management and revenue goals at global, regional, market, and customer levels as appropriate. Lead cross-functional efforts to develop and execute marketing plans to drive increased adoption of key products and solutions.Competitive Analysis : Conduct in-depth analysis of competitors, their products, positioning strategies, pricing models, and go-to-market tactics. Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to inform our competitive positioning strategy.Market Research : Stay abreast of market trends, customer preferences, and industry developments. Gather insights to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage.Positioning Strategy : Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, sales, and marketing teams to develop and refine product positioning strategies that differentiate our offerings in the market. Ensure alignment with overall business objectives and customer needs.Messaging Development : Craft compelling messaging and value propositions that articulate the unique benefits of our products. Develop clear, concise, and impactful messaging frameworks tailored to various target audiences and channels.Content Creation : Produce high-quality marketing collateral, including sales enablement materials, presentations, website content, and case studies, to support the positioning strategy and drive awareness and adoption of our products.Sales Enablement : Equip the sales team with the necessary tools, training, and resources to effectively communicate our competitive positioning and value proposition to prospects and customers. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with marketing initiatives.Performance Measurement : Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of competitive positioning efforts. Track and analyze relevant metrics to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize strategies over time.Qualifications : Preferred Educational and Experience :
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
7 years of industry experience in Product Marketing or Product Management.
Experience in technical marketing and close collaboration with commercial teams is highly desired.
Background in life sciences, biotechnology, or related industries is a plus.
Proven experience in new product development and managing on-market products.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic decisions.
Ability to solve problems using robust analysis and multiple data points.
Strong influencing skills to engage diverse stakeholder groups within a global, matrixed organization.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and execute strategies while managing dynamic timelines.
Strong organizational capabilities to drive proactive work and cross-functional alignment.
