The IMS & Voice Network Engineer II on the Network Services Team, you will support platforms that support both wireless operations throughout their lifecycle. This position will also be responsible for new technology and product research, as well as, providing plans on how to implement new technology in our network.
Note : this position is out of Green Bay but hybrid.
What you'll be doing :
- Under minimal supervision, the IMS & Voice Network Engineer II on the Network Services Team, you will support voice centric platforms deployed by our company for both wireless and wireline operations. Will be responsible for RCA for major outages. This role is responsible for providing support for Operations, Administration, Maintenance and Provisioning as well as responsible for new technology and product research implementation and design. Current platform vendors include : Broadsoft, Ribbon, Mavenir, Dialogic, Dell and Cisco servers. Additional responsibilities may include sysadmin duties, scripting, troubleshooting assistance to entry and mid-level network engineers. Must be able to resolve telephony network issues with minimal assistance.
- Perform network design and OAM / P for voice centric elements.
- Installs, admins, configures and maintains network management systems including operating systems and related software.
- Provide on-call support to resolve troubles outside of normal business hours.
- Works with monitoring team in managing applications, device availability, network conditions / status, system reliability & performance, and maintenance programs.
- Manage network hardware, supporting systems and network additions / upgrades
- MOP Creation and implementation and review.
- RCA documentation and reporting for critical network outages.
- Other duties as assigned
