As an Assistant Scientist you will be part of a team developing purification processes for recombinant antibodies and recombinant proteins. Responsibilities
- Daily equipment calibration and maintenance (i.e., pH meter, conductivity meter, SoloVPE)
- Buffer and solution preparation
- Inventorying and restocking lab consumables
- -80C freezer inventorying and sample management
- General laboratory maintenance, including removal of expired consumables and reagents, cleaning glassware, cleaning of Biohazard Safety Cabinet (BSC) and water bath, as needed
- Opportunities to train on protein purification techniques, including by not limited to chromatography, column packing, UFDF, nanofiltration
- Opportunities to support other process development functions, including upstream and analytical
Qualifications
- A.S./B.S. in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related field
- Experience with protein purification, mammalian cell culture, and/or monoclonal antibody characterization is a plus
- Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well within one’s own team and other groups
- Experience in a GMP setting is a plus
- Willingness to travel
