What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Handler I Temp position at Celldex Therapeutics?
Overview
The Materials Handler I Temp will be part of a team working to support the Manufacturing Department in the Production of Drug Products. The position will be responsible for receiving general as well as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) raw materials. The quarantining, releasing, and issuing of GMP material through the Great Plains software system. The Material Handler I Temp will also assist in labeling of clinical drug products.
Responsibilities
- Learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
- Quarantine and release GMP materials following established procedures
- Issue GMP materials to support Manufacturing
- Assist with clinical vial labeling
- Weekly cleaning of Material Management (MM) rooms
- Receipt of MFG retains, receipt of QC tested material retains.
- File all Material Management (MM) associated documents, MM binder upkeep.
- Distribute mail
- Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Accuracy and reliability
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- The ability to multitask and to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem solving and critical thinking
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of inventory tracking software
- Preferably DOT/IATA training
Education/Experience:
- 1-3 years’ experience in shipping and receiving preferred
- Prior work experience in biotech or pharmaceutical as a Materials Handler or experience in shipping and receiving is a plus
