What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Management Intern position at Celldex Therapeutics?
Overview
The Materials Management Intern will be part of a team working to support the Manufacturing Department as well as various other departments here at Celldex. The intern will be trained to do the tasks listed below. Along with these specific Materials Management responsibilities, the intern will gain an overall knowledge of the Biotech industry.
Responsibilities
- Learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
- Quarantine and release GMP materials following established procedures
- Issue GMP materials as well as segregating incoming shipments for other departments to receive
- Assist in shipments to clinical sites as well as testing laboratories
- Assist with clinical drug product labeling
- Weekly cleaning of Material Management (MM) rooms/carts
- Receipt of MFG retains and receipt of QC tested material retains
- File all Material Management (MM) associated documents and MM binder upkeep
- Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- The ability to stand for periods of time
- Effectively handle lifting various objects weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Work in enclosed areas and different types of climates
- Operation of powered pallet jack
- Intern must be enrolled at an accredited College, pursuing an AS degree or certificate program
- Intern must be approved by Massachusetts Life Science Center Internship Program
- Basic Computer Skills
