Your Job:
Machine Operators support Cellofoam by manufacturing top quality product in accordance with company standards. Skills include:
- General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
- Verifying equipment set-up prior to start of a production run, operate and shut down manufacturing equipment.
- Verifying order information and produce product with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements while meeting productivity standards.
- Monitoring equipment and reporting malfunctions to supervisor; assist with routine cleaning.
- Maintaining proper work logs and complete required reports as necessary.
- Bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble and/or label materials per specific production instructions.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Manufacturing or light industrial work experience preferred.
- Possess basic math skills (i.e., ability to read a tape measure within 1/32”).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work productively with minimum supervision.
- Able to work flexible hours – overtime without prior notification.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to use a tape measure and add fractions.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Moderate to heavy physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.
- Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds; and safely operate assigned machinery.
