Inventory Management Clerk

Job Classification : Non-Exempt

Job Summary : Join our dynamic team as an Inventory Management Clerk, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate receipt, documentation, and tracking of goods. In this position, you'll collaborate closely with the Inventory Manager to resolve issues and communicate the status of merchandise while adapting to the ever-changing needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist the Inventory Supervisor with daily operations.
• Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by examining contents against records such as manifests, invoices, or orders.
• Ensure that shipments match merchandise invoices, addressing any discrepancies immediately.
• Document shipment details including weight, charges, and any damages for recordkeeping.
• Determine optimal shipping methods based on procedures and costs.
• Distribute materials to relevant departments within the organization.
• Prepare materials for shipping, including packing, sealing, labeling, and affixing postage.
• Communicate effectively with relevant personnel to resolve issues related to damages, shortages, or noncompliance.
• Manage inventory supplies and requisition shipping materials as needed.
• Monitor and maintain proper stock levels across stores.
• Understand vendor warranty and returns policies.
• Date and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Keep the inventory closet clean and organized.
• Conduct physical inventory checks regularly.
• Assist in inventory movement within the market.
• Support the Return Authorization (RA) process.

Essential Skills :

Supervisory Responsibility : This role does not involve supervising others.

Work Environment : This position is located in a retail store setting.

Physical Requirements : Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. This is a physically active role.

Position Type : Full-time; Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Flexibility for nights and weekends during special device launches is required.

Travel : Minimal travel expected (1-10%).
