Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Counsel, Brand Protection to lead global brand enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, and brand diversion strategies, ensuring integrity of our brand IP, reputation, and product distribution. This role will play a pivotal part in proactively combating infringements, misinformation, parallel imports, unauthorized sales, cybersquatting, and counterfeit activity—protecting brand equity while optimizing enforcement efforts.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned with proven expertise in global brand protection, digital asset management, and supply chain risk mitigation. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, supply chain, and legal teams, to develop and execute a forward-looking enforcement strategy that strengthens global brand control.
This role will be instrumental in strengthening our global brand protection strategy, ensuring market integrity, digital brand policing, and proactive risk mitigation against unauthorized brand use and diversion threats.
- 8 years of experience in brand protection, IP enforcement, or commercial law.
- Expertise in marketplace brand policing, social media enforcement, domain name disputes (UDRP), anti-counterfeiting, and parallel import mitigation.
- Strong background in digital brand protection, including monitoring and enforcement on e-commerce platforms and social media.
- Experience working with customs enforcement, law enforcement agencies, and global brand protection partners.
- Ability to collaborate across marketing, sales, and supply chain functions, providing business-oriented legal solutions.
- Knowledge of AI-based brand monitoring tools and enforcement automation platforms preferred.
Responsibilities:
Brand Diversion & Parallel Import Enforcement
- Develop and execute enforcement strategies to mitigate parallel imports, unauthorized resellers, and gray market activity, ensuring territorial brand exclusivity.
- Work closely with supply chain and commercial teams to strengthen distribution agreements, anti-diversion clauses, and territorial controls.
- Partner with customs authorities and global enforcement agencies to monitor, block, and seize unauthorized product shipments.
- Lead investigations and enforcement actions against third-party resellers and supply chain weaknesses contributing to brand dilution.
Global Brand Policing & Digital Enforcement
- Develop and implement a proactive brand policing strategy to monitor and remove unauthorized use of brand assets across marketplaces, social media, websites, and digital platforms.
- Oversee marketplace enforcement programs, ensuring efficient detection and removal of counterfeit listings, unauthorized resellers, and deceptive branding on platforms like Amazon, eBay, and Alibaba.
- Manage domain name enforcement, including UDRP proceedings, cybersquatting prevention, and domain monitoring to safeguard digital assets.
- Work closely with marketing and digital teams to ensure consistent brand representation online and take action against misleading or infringing use of company trademarks and IP.
- Oversee social media enforcement, identifying and taking action against impersonation accounts, unauthorized brand partnerships, and misleading promotions.
Comprehensive Brand Integrity Strategy
- Establish and manage watch services, AI-powered monitoring tools, and enforcement platforms to proactively detect brand misuse across multiple channels.
- Develop and implement best practices for cease-and-desist actions, enforcement escalations, and proactive brand defense tactics.
- Provide strategic guidance on coordinated enforcement efforts to protect brand value across all sales channels, digital environments, and international markets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Support
- Drive efficiencies in contract management and vendor onboarding, leveraging legal technology solutions to streamline workflows.
- Implement best practices for procurement and commercial legal processes, ensuring scalability as the business expands.
- Collaborate with finance and business leadership on budgeting, vendor spend management, and financial risk assessments in contract negotiations.
Process Optimization & Cost Efficiency
- Ensure all commercial agreements comply with advertising, consumer protection, data privacy, and anti-bribery laws.
- Support the implementation of ethical sourcing, supplier diversity, and sustainability initiatives in procurement contracts.
- Work alongside compliance teams to monitor contract compliance and mitigate regulatory risks in vendor and marketing engagements.

The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and location. The final offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications. This position may be eligible for other compensation, including bonuses and Restricted Stock Units (subject to company plans).
