Are you a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant looking for a new challenge? We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Homeowner Association Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
§ Reconcile Association bank accounts monthly within the required timeframe.
§ General accounting support for Association Property Managers.
§ Creating monthly Board of Director financial reports and distributing them to the appropriate parties.
§ Charging late fees, and fines, according to the schedules outlined.
§ Schedule and perform required reserve account transfers in alignment with Association budgets.
§ Input and payment of Association bills received.
§ Provide support to homeowners and Board members with financial questions.
§ Onboarding Associations within the property management software.
§ Creating annual Association budgets based on yearly income and expenses.
§ Attendance of occasional Board of Directors meetings and Annual Association meetings.
Requirements:
§ Associate degree in accounting or related field. (proven work experience in the accounting field may substitute for a degree.)
§ Proven work experience as an Accountant and or Bookkeeper.
§ Strong understanding of GAAP.
§ Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
§ Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
§ Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
§ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pay Range:
§ $18-22 hourly, depending on qualifications.
