Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and design. As a Landscape Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of various landscapes, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and safely. This role requires proficiency with both hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Conduct tree trimming and pruning to maintain healthy growth and aesthetics.
- Assist in the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Build and maintain garden beds, ensuring proper soil health and plant selection.
- Carry out groundskeeping duties to keep outdoor spaces clean and well-maintained.
- Collaborate with team members on larger landscaping projects, contributing ideas for design improvements.
- Follow safety protocols while operating equipment and handling materials.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Familiarity with hand tools used in landscaping tasks.
- Knowledge of plant care, including tree trimming techniques and garden maintenance practices.
