We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Wet Utilities Construction Project Manager to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The Wet Utilities Construction Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of wet utilities projects, including water, sewer, stormwater, and other related infrastructure works. This position requires expertise in managing construction processes, adhering to safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of wet utilities systems, construction methodologies, and project management best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Lead and coordinate the planning, design, and construction of wet utilities projects (water, sewer, stormwater, etc.).
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.
- Project Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of wet utilities projects, ensuring that construction activities are on track and aligned with project timelines and quality standards.
- Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specifications.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain project timelines and budget.
- Compliance & Quality Control:
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure high standards of work and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Budget & Cost Management:
- Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and approve invoices.
- Ensure proper tracking and reporting of project financials, including change orders, cost estimates, and resource allocations.
- Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain regular communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related issues, including changes in scope, schedule, or cost.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and ensure the proper development and training of team members.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in wet utilities construction, including at least 3 years in a project management role.
- Strong knowledge of wet utilities systems, including water, sewer, stormwater, and related infrastructure.
- Certifications & Licenses:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar credentials preferred.
- OSHA certification or other safety certifications preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) and construction management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
