SUMMARY
Responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and scheduling raw material and coordinate third party roll formers and slitters to support production needs. Analytically minded with a knack for streamlining processes and purchase negotiation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires the customary and regular exercise of discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the following essential duties.
- Monitors all purchase orders and ensures accurate receiving and payment
- Schedules slitting of outside processors
- Manages logistics to third party roll formers
- Supervises corporate Inventory Analyst
- Travels to suppliers to establish and cultivate business relationships
- Negotiates price, delivery schedules and payment terms with suppliers
- Creates reports and presentations to analyze inventory levels and vendor performance
- Works closely with VP of Supply Chain in the design, documentation and training of purchasing processes and procedures
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
Educational experience requires a degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Business Administration or related subject. Must have experience with Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables , VLOOKUPs, and analyzing data.
SKILLS
Language : Effective verbal / written communication is a priority. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals / periodicals. Respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, vendors, and the public.
Computer : Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Excel is required.
Reasoning : Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Other : Multitasking, attention to detail, organizational and planning skills are a must.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
