Job Description
We are looking for two experienced mechanics to join the CEMCO team at our Denver plant. Compensation will be based on experience.
First and second shift schedules available:
1st shift: 5:00am- 1:45pm
2nd shift: 2:00pm – 10:45pm
Summary
Responsible for the performance of preventative maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. Ensure optimum production capability by troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing large, high-speed manufacturing machines, equipment and facilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Associates degree or equivalent from a two (2) year or technical school and five (5) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have practical knowledge of electrical controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and gear boxes with ability to troubleshoot and repair them as needed.
CERTIFICACIONS, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS
Forklift certification required.
Skills
Language: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business and technical procedures. Comprehend and follow through with simple instructions. Write simple correspondence. Speak and communicate effectively and professionally with other employees in CEMCO.
Computer: Basic computer skills required. Learn department’s computer program and scanning systems. Use touchscreen system.
Mathematical: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to apply mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is required to frequently stand, walk, stoop and sit throughout the shift. The employee frequently lifts, pushes, pulls, and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Apply all safety practices and follow general safety rules, such as wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lock out/tag out (LOTO) procedures while performing daily tasks.
- Perform preventative maintenance requirements on machines, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on production equipment and adjust or repair as needed.
- Ensure production equipment is safe and within quality specs before releasing it to production for use.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and tools in maintenance shop.
- Safely and effectively operate a sit-down powered industrial forklift.
- Maintenance and repair of facilities, basic knowledge of plumbing, lighting, garage doors, knowledge of HVAC, etc.
- Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instruments and equipment.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information and recommendations as needed.
- Know production lines, storage areas, products, and steel/coils.
- Coordinate equipment repairs with Maintenance Manager/Supervisor, engineering, and operations.
- Must communicate in an effective and professional manner and inculcate team building and support.
