PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a people leader helping us manage our most important resource, our talent. The HRBP drives the mission, vision and values of Cemen Tech by creating an outstanding employee experience through all talent lifecycle activities, and serving as a trusted and collaborative advisor, assuring alignment with business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are considered core functions of this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive; however, this will highlight critical elements and areas of focus. Other duties may be required and assigned.
The Human Resources Business Partner role includes the following responsibilities:
- Works closely with management and employees to drive an outstanding workplace and employee experience, strengthen relationships, improving engagement and increasing productivity and retention.
- Act as a consultant to supervisors and managers on people issues, helping coach them and provide them with timely and compliant resolutions.
- Act as primary facilitator of recruiting, hiring, providing premier experience for applicants and new hires by coordinating with management and hiring managers throughout the process to recruit elite talent pool, screen resumes, conducting interviews and organizing an engaging onboarding process.
- Analyze workforce planning needs and provide proactive hiring solutions to meet ongoing business talent needs including help in creating a robust recruitment plan for top talent needs.
- Act as team member champion and change agent by assessing and anticipating business needs and providing HR solutions to drive employee engagement and understanding metrics by administering and helping analyze survey results.
- Support a collaborative environment by being available, approachable, providing coaching and following through on employee questions, concerns, and support.
- Act as central point of contact for benefits and HRIS system related questions, partnering with payroll to ensure accuracy in all areas including administration of employee life-cycle processes and changes.
- Provide leave administration including FMLA/ADA and other applicable leaves that need coordinated with benefits, maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide development and education to Cemen Tech team members in all HR areas including benefits, policy and procedure to ensure a supported, responsible and knowledgeable team.
- Support team member performance management and development systems by working as a trusted coach and advisor to provide resources to upskill and optimize talent.
- Support Cemen Tech team by overseeing rewards and recognition programs and implementing new opportunities to drive team engagement and providing superior work experience.
- Collaborate with outside vendors to ensure coordination of sustainable business and people needs, including recruiters, HRIS, benefits and wellness.
- Promote community relations, brand promotion and organizational partnership by serving as an active representative, forming relationships and networks including schools/colleges, business networks, SHRM, and other community opportunities.
- Act as a people leader within the HR team, collaborating on goals, adding value and improvements to enhance Cemen Tech as a premier place to work and do business.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or an equivalent field of study is required OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years’ progressive experience in human resources, business partnership roles
- Knowledge of the multiple HR disciplines including state and federal compliance, recruitment, hiring and onboarding, total rewards, HRIS system administration, training and development.
- Excellent written and verbal communications including presentation skills, preparation and delivery.
- Demonstrated experience building strong business acumen and capability to assess HR implications on the business.
- Must have a strong blend of analytical, decision-making & creative solving skills.
- Unquestionable personal and business integrity, and proven ability to deal with confidential information
- Strong, proven ability to build relationships within a business to influence change.
