Job Title: Senior Accountant
Department: Accounting
Reports to: Finance Director
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB (Summary)
This position will be instrumental in providing account analysis and reconciliation for the finance department. Duties will include assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements, cash management, and cost system development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Responsibilities
- Produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements & management reports with variance analysis to forecasts
- Prepare annual corporate budget with quarterly updates
- Manage corporate tax functions
- Manager external and internal audits
- Coordinate responsibilities and functions of the finance group and ensure they are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Collaborative personality with a strong sense of being part of a team
- Able to effectively prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Proficient in Excel with accuracy and attention to detail
- This position will be required to work extra hours as required to meet deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent required
- Master's degree in applicable field is preferred
- CPA License
- 2-5 years of experience
- 3 years auditing experience preferred
- Experience working in Big 4 auditing firm preferred
