CEMS Engineering, Inc. is searching for Mechanical engineering interns with strong technical abilities, and who express an interest in Building Sciences; specifically, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems, Plumbing Systems, Mechanical Utility Systems, and Mechanical Process Systems.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities may include:
- Assists senior engineers with routine design
- Prepares mechanical drawings
- Reviews calculations and drawings
- Handles other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in B.S. Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent plus appropriate continuing education
- Successfully completed coursework addressing Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer
- Must be able to coordinate with other engineering teams/disciplines within the firm
- Ability to work independently in a team environment and effectively manage time
- Must be able to work and effectively coordinate with staff in multiple office locations
- Effective time-management, written communication skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, decision making capabilities, problem resolution skills, and a sense of initiative are important for this internship
- Ability to work in a team environment is required
- Strong problem solving skills required
Desired Qualifications:
- Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) Registration
- Experience or working knowledge of Revit MEP
