About the Position:
The Ready Mix Driver will be responsible for operating a ready-mix truck to transport concrete and other materials to various construction sites. This includes performing pre-trip inspections, filling the water tank, receiving delivery tickets, and communicating effectively with dispatch and customers. In addition, the driver will need to add necessary ingredients, place chutes, and complete all paperwork and collections. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL, ability to pass a Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties and Qualifications:
* Operate a ready-mix truck to transport concrete and other materials to construction sites.* Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the truck meets D.O.T. regulations.* Fill the water tank before each delivery and receive delivery tickets.* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries.* Safely maneuver the truck in often unstable ground conditions.* Add necessary ingredients such as fibers, chemical, foam admixtures, cements, or integral colors at the plant or jobsite.* Place chutes from the fender or hanging rack onto the main chute at the rear of the truck for discharge.* Complete all paperwork and collect moneys if necessary.* Wash the truck with a hose and brush after each shift.* Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers.* Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company.* Ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.* Required qualifications: Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B, Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical and obtain DOT Medical Card, Must safely operate truck and perform tasks that are congruent with company policy, and within state and federal laws.
