In this role, you will be responsible for safely delivering ready-mixed concrete and associated products to construction sites within a reasonable proximity. The daily work schedule may consist of five to ten hour days, with overtime on both voluntary and mandatory bases for the workweek as well as Saturdays, depending on business requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for safely delivering ready-mixed concrete and associated products to construction sites within a reasonable proximity. The daily work schedule may consist of five to ten hour days, with overtime on both voluntary and mandatory bases for the workweek as well as Saturdays, depending on business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the ready-mix truck in accordance with D.O.T. regulations.
- Fills water tank before each delivery by placing the rubber hose into the water tank and filling after ensuring all valves are shut.
- Upon receiving the delivery ticket, drive or back the truck under the plant (depending on plant configuration) and charge the mixer to receive concrete, making sure to take any admixtures or other ancillary products specified on the ticket.
- Safely drive the truck to the jobsite and arrive with the desired slump within customer or job specifications.
- Upon arriving at the jobsite, maneuver the truck in often unstable ground conditions while maintaining a safe observation of customer equipment and conditions.
- Add necessary ingredients such as fibers, chemical, foam admixtures, cements, or integral colors at the plant or jobsite, as well as other products.
- Pursuant to customer needs, place chutes from the fender or hanging rack onto the main chute at the rear of the truck for discharge. Upon completion of discharge, wash the chutes in the washout system or other appropriate location as directed by the contractor and put them back in their designated location on the truck.
- Before leaving the jobsite, complete all paperwork and collect moneys if necessary.
- Upon completion of each shift, wash the truck with a hose and brush, including the use of cleaning solution when necessary.
- Communicate with dispatch through a two-way radio and the use of a truck status signaling system.
- At the end of the shift, complete and submit all paperwork, placing cash COD in a locked box.
- Call the schedule each day for start time.
- Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B.
- Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical and obtain DOT Medical Card.
- Must safely operate the truck and perform tasks congruent with company policy and within state and federal laws.
