APPLICATION SCIENTIST (ANALYTICAL INSTRUMENTATION)
Cemtek KVB-Enertec is the leader in the Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) Industry, selling gas analyzer systems and industry specific emissions monitoring software across the country and globally. We are growing and seeking an Application Scientist for our team.

The Application Scientist will support Engineering and Field Services with TDLAS/UV-DOAS and IPCEMS with focus on testing, inhouse troubleshooting, phone support and field startup. The Application Scientist will also become familiar with components and functioning of the Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) using varying measurement principles, including chemiluminescence, paramagnetic cells, tunable diode lasers, etc.
Responsibilities Include:
Support Engineering and Field Services with TDLAS/UV-DOAS
Support Engineering and Field Services with IPCEMS
Testing and check-out for IP CEMS.
Training Field Service Techs on IP CEMS
Troubleshooting and repair of IPCEMS
Troubleshooting and phone support of TDLAS/UV-DOAS and IPCEMS
Troubleshooting and phone support for Field Service Startup
Some travel may be required
Qualifications:
Experience in spectroscopy and chemometrics.
Demonstrated experience in analytical instrumentation (preferably Spectroscopy-FTIR, Laser Spectroscopy, Raman)
Strong math/algorithm background (MATLAB - Octave, Python, R)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
Hands-on experience and customer relation experience is a plus
B.Sc. with 5 years experience as Application Scientist / Application Engineer.
