This is a full-time on-site role for a High School English Teacher, located in Detroit, MI. The High School English Teacher will be responsible for planning lessons, delivering effective instruction, assessing student progress, and creating an inclusive classroom environment. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and implementing curriculum, engaging students in discussions, providing feedback on student work, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student success.
- Experience in Lesson Planning and English Teaching
- Strong Teaching and Communication skills
- Proficient in Writing and instructional techniques
- Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive classroom environment
- Commitment to the educational success of all students
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field
- State teaching certification in English
- Experience working in under-resourced communities is a plus
