GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Association Banking Lockbox Processor I position is responsible for daily processing and preparing lockbox payments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Open and review incoming lockbox mail and prepare lockbox payments, prior to processing. This duty is performed daily.
2. Process lockbox payments. This duty is performed daily.
3. Place postage on department documents to be mailed. This duty is performed daily.
4. Prepare documents awaiting system input. This duty is performed daily.
5. Process various customer requests in systems. This duty is performed daily.
6. Verify various document requests previously processed in systems. This duty is performed daily.
7. Perform document scanning, committing, and auditing processes. This duty is performed daily.
8. Perform functions or assist with special projects. This duty is performed as needed.
9. Follow written and verbal department procedures. Alert manager of any written procedure changes for updates. This duty is performed daily.
10. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
11. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed.
12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
